(八) eight [voice]
It is, as always, somewhat disturbing to be reminded of the extent of control the Animus have over us all. While it's entertaining enough watching people stumble around confused about themselves, it's somewhat less so to wake up and realize you don't entirely remember the people you live with. Not that that's the only complaint I have, but really, they could be escaped convicts or psychotic murderers for all I know. Or worse - family.
[You may get the impression that Mukuro has been finding those roommates he doesn't remember to be quite annoying. You may be right about that. His voice, however, remains even and slightly amused the whole time.]
Of course, in that case it might be better to not remember at all.
It does make one wonder, doesn't it? Though knowing we've forgotten something is an unpleasant sensation, perhaps some of us would be better off never remembering. Of course, the catch is that we can never be sure - not without remembering.
I would prefer to know, personally, even if the things I've forgotten are incredibly unpleasant - but I wonder if there's anyone who feels better off not knowing?
