Okay, physics test (quiz?) today. Good times. So much easier than the homework problems, too, the homework being genuinely difficult and complex problems. I knew how to do all of them, but the algebra was sometimes a bitch. But the test was just the basics of the basics of kinematics. *shrug* Not that I'm complaining, but I suppose I do enjoy doing the homework because it's actually somewhat challenging (and also since it's automatically graded online and we get up to 5 submissions per problem, so it doesn't matter if I make a mistake). I'm such a geek.
On the other hand, the physics labs are kicking my ass (this being my judgement based on a single returned lab). I think I get downgraded a lot because I don't take the labs very seriously and it probably shows in the writing. Of course, the labs are actually a significant percentage of the course grade... I just have a lot of difficultly writing seriously about labs that focus on kinematics or statistical error. It's just so needless to do labs on these topics, and the write-up doesn't stimulate the brain at all, just takes up 4 hours of my life. I did like doing labs back in quantum mechanics, largely because, for the most part, they actually enhanced your understanding of the topic. Bleh. Just stay focused, be careful with details, and get it over with. I really wish we did not have labs weekly.
Okay, I suppose I should write an essay on the revolutions of 1989 and do other things like that. Starting is always the hardest part for me.
