So, yeah. The space between the end of one quarter and the beginning of the next is a good thing. Period.
Well, what have I done of late? I visited William and Mary yesterday. I am quite happy about the impression their physics professors left on me. Indeed, what everyone told me about W&M's physics professors turned out to be true. Let me clarify. They struck me as men and women of passion. It seemed that if I asked them too, they could talk to me for hours on end about their research. But they also knew how to connect with laymen such as myself. Even as one professor went on about his theoretical work on particle interaction when extra dimensions are taken into account, he made sure to speak in terms that the group could understand. So, I must say that that was somewhat exciting. Certainly puts an even more positive spin on W&M. Of course, I will still seriously consider Dartmouth or Cornell if either lets me in off the wait list. And I once remind myself that I need to speak to my counselor about colleges, particularly the wait list ones.
As for today, I have been intermittently goofing off and reading To The Lighthouse. Not a fun book to read, style-wise, but still entertaining in its own right. I guess the novel just offers me so much I can relate to. And its also solely about the characters, which is something I enjoy. At the very least, I'm starting to catch up to the class (having just finished the assignment due the last time our class met).
Right, well, time to finish all that.
Hmm, and as an afterthought, I can't help but continually notice how terrible I am at articulating my thoughts. My writing just feels so jarbled (to invent a word). Maybe that's why I don't post much, but prefer instead to read other people's lj. Ah well, whatever.
