A Gift to the Gurg

Is there another meaning to gifts that Dumbledore sent the Giants? "Come join us in the fight against the Dark Lord Voldemort." Was sent the massage by Professor Hagrid of Hogwarts and the Headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Madame Olympe Maxime.

the gifts were as follows:

~one, Gubraithian Fire (everlasting fire) Dumbledore bewitched a branch to burn forever

~two, a battle helmet, Goblin made, and indestructible

~three, rather large dragon skin, a powerfully magic substance. Only the strongest spells can penetrate the magic stored in dragon hides.

Was there a message sent that the giants will recognize later on in time? Sometimes the stubborn need to live through experience to have their eyes opened to understanding.

Each of these gifts are a form of a protective device. Giants are already known to have thick hides of their own, making it hard for a wizard to stun them. Will they need these gifts later? Can these items protect against Dark Magic? I say yes.

It is well known that You Know Who, does not take kindly to those who stand up to him. Will the giants decide this? Maybe they will get tired of doing what they are told, after all they don't like being bossed around for long even within their own kind. In the end, they will end up remembering Dumbldore's gifts, thus recognizing that the wizards are on their side.

It is my belief that Dumbledore was sending them the protection that would help the giants to be able to leave the fight all together peacefully. Therealso, making a less mess of the muggle world as well as the wizarding world, when they decide not to put up with You Know Who any longer. Hopefully, they will decide to join the wizards and fight proudly beside us forming a new bond of friend with us.
