The weather has been beautiful the last 2 days. We had a little bit of rain and cooler temps for a while, but summer is definately here.
I have stepping stones along one path in my back yard. Over the past 5 years, they have gradually been sinking into the ground, so I gave myself the project of prying them up from the turf and putting sand under them to raise them about an inch. Now I am doing the same with brick type edging around the various flower beds.
Tomorrow I need to put about a dozen flowering plants into the ground.
I planted leaf lettuce 3 days ago and, today, observed that the seeds had germinated and green shoots are showing. Even for California, that is fast.
I have an ongoing battle with snails and slugs. They have even attacked a cacti.
I had intended to be more long-winded, but this old body is complaining. I have been pushing it lately. It's only 7:30, but I'm headed for my bed.
