Last Saturday - Texas Hold'em $10 buy in

I won a poker tournament! I never win!!! I even bluffed! And I succeeded!!! People folded - muahahahaha.

I was the chip leader for the first couple rounds. Then I started getting crap hands. I know everyone will say, "oh well you could have bluffed them out then" but that is not true because I was playing with at least 3 or 4 calling stations that could not be bluffed. They would RAISE when they had nothing. Absolutely nothing. It was frustrating watching this guy Steve rake in all their money and get a big lead simply because of luck of the draw.

So eventually the blinds have risen a lot and I finally start getting decent hands again. I gain a little, I lose a little, but mostly just other people get knocked out while I remain stable.

Then I go all in with two other people and win! Now I'm in 2nd place and a heavy contender. Finally it's down to just me and one other guy. He has double my chips. The blinds are super high by this point though as we've been playing for four hours. I can tell he is getting tired of playing. I win a few hands by bluffing and he seems upset that we are about even now.

The hand that won me the game went as follows:
I get a K and something small dealt to me. The flop is 6, 9, K. I bet low (200). He sees this as weakness and raises me to 500. I call. The next card is another K! I remain calm and again bet 200. He raises again, this time 1000. I wait and study him. I have 3 K's at this point so it is impossible for him to have two, but maybe he has one and his kicker is really high. I don't think so. He has been bluffing all night and I think he is desperate to win a hand. The river is some meaningless card like a 2. I bet 500. He raises, I re-raise and push him all in. He calls. He was betting super high because he had a 6 in his hand. My three of a kind of Kings beats his two pair K's and 6's. Betting high on 6's??? For real?
