I stumbled upon this by accident, and dont take this the wrong way, I dont mean to insight more controversey.
This contest has been in themaking for many months. I don't know when LX had the idea to start it, but it was sometime around September '07. I was selected to be a judge then, before we became the friends we are now. Even though I am writing on a developing level, LX sees potential in me. I review 15-20 fics on serebii, including some of what I would consider to be the elites: Bay's, Ledian_X's, Mix's (when she was writing it), and dunacns. If I dont review an elite's fic, I always peruse it, such as Silawen's, DP479's ect. The one-shot you reviewed was posted accidently without a beta, in which case the various mistakes would have been caught. You yourself said it was an entertaining read, despite its shortcomings.
I can assure you I am fully qualified to judge this contest, otherwise LX would not pick me. Most of the Serebii elites over 20, Pink Parka Girl, LX, Dragonfree, and MondoTR are on my side. I thank you for the concern, but trust me, I can handle it.
