I've lived in Texas since I was four years old. Why I have is a very complicated issue.
Nobody said I had to like it, and every time Rick Perry opens his mouth, I like it even less, so I guess that I will, once again, be persona non grata to a certain sector of Texans, but this bit from last night's “Daily Show” had me high-fiving my (cloistered) self.
So until the legal challenges to the abortion-restriction bill that Perry signed today begin to pile up, anybody who wants to say “Fuck Texas” around me will hear no opposition. I may even say a couple myself.
I'm betting Kristen Schaal will have even more fun with Governor Goodhair soon (even though she's already done a Wendy Davis piece this summer).
