Session 4.5: Baram bathed in the blood of the white bull and saw a vision of his master, Akmanatos, in chains before a robed figure. Baram recognised the place as Cranetown and set off there immediately. Phaedra followed Niccolo to his sanctum. As an enemy of his enemy, he taught her the words to invoke the Demon Lord Awre, which would send lesser demons and humans who were inflicted with demon appendages into terror. Stelaro was shocked by the announcement of the Prefect's death, but Adorinda, the Prefect's daughter calmed the situation down and announced her marriage to Stelaro. The Sheban ambassador protested, revealing that Stelaro had murdered the Caliph of Turan's son and the ambassador's brother, as well as associating with the fugitive Baram. As things became heated, Stelaro's brother, Juvo, and Baram led an attack against the Palace, sending everyone into a panic. Baram slayed the Sheban, Adan, but them fled himself. He gathered together Phaedra and Juvo's men for an attack on Cranetown. Before he did, he visited his sister, Tali. She revealed that she had a ritual that would take him to Akmanatos direct, past all defences. He agreed to go by himself only to find he was betrayed. Tali used the braid of hair she had given him, which turned out to be demon hair, to control him with magic. The robed figure used Baram's capture to persuade Akamantos to reveal the location of the island of Panogea and then sailed away. Phaedra arrived to rescue Baram. Meanwhile, Stelaro gathered the Tartessos guard and went to the eastern walls to confront the approaching horde of the Great Darkness.
