Arnimor DUAL Destiny
My brain has been flitting around a lot of ideas since Kapcon, in the normal highly productive post Kapcon buzz. A bunch of things have wormed their way to the surface as plans for Kapcon 2013.
The first is that I will be helping Sam put together "Rosebride's Plight" for Changeling the Lost. Its a prewritten scenario but one that hits just the right spot for Sam as a GM. The only real work to be done is simplifying the rules and creating PC sheets. The later shouldn't be too hard as the pregen PCs for Changeling look decent for this purpose.
The second is "Arnimor DUAL" for Cthulhutech. This is the two GM military drama scenario that I posted about here over a year ago: http://grandexperiment.livejournal.com/132801.html?thread=378305. It didn't end being done as the initial idea got a little too hard for me to see my way through and what energy I did have was undermined with the difficulties suffered by the RPG during the year. Then along came Vykyris.
However, after a year away, its remarkable how much an idea can naturally become better by filtering out the noise and allowing the core ideas to come forth. Over the weekend, I found that my brain automatically evolved the story into something that flowed much better than I remembered. Plus all 8 PCs emerged very organically, which fills me with confidence too. What is left is a very cool story that uses two GMs in a relatively seamless (and non-gimmicky) way that I really want to see in action.
As a bonus, it looks like the art director for Cthulhutech may even be able to supply the eight PC portraits that were stumping me :)
So, I find myself in a similar position as I was in October last year with Vykyris, having returned to a scenario that I have been away from for a while and finding that the scenario is almost fully formed in my mind. This scenario will be simpler all around than Vykyris, except for the fact that there is two GM use and I have a lot more time to write it. But once Alchemcials starts next week, I will start posting progress here.
