Awww, thanks. Boys and the dog. Sounds like a happy family unit to me. Re: the hairy beast comparison. Yeah, I thought that would be funny as well.
And Hutch is just a big softie both when it comes to his partner and the dog. He's hopeless.

I really loved Samson but it sadened me too that a fter he got hurt his boss was forced to give him up for his career...

Thanks for you kind words. The fact that you felt so invested in Samsom is due, in no small part, to some revisions I made based on suggestions from my beta dawnbeth. She read my first draft and advised that I show Samsom actually doing things, (like rolling to have his bellly rubbed etc) rather than just a by-stander to the people around him. It made my story a lot better, I think.

Yes it is certainly part of it but also the betreyal. a police dog is doing what he is doing from devotion to his master it made ill that when he can't do that he is casted aside.
