Friday I helped Andrew move from North Seattle to Beacon Hill (not bacon hill). It was interesting. Michelle and I took off in the middle of packing to get some food at Subway. We managed to run away without them noticing and came back with cookies for everyone. There was much elevator antics involving god-awful lovesacs. All five of us were packed in the elevator with two oversized-foamy beanbag-esque chairs. There wasn't room for all of us and Michelle's ass accidently pressed the emergency button on the elevator and it called the emergency operator. Hot. We managed to get everything into the rented truck and brought it all to Andrew's new place. Andrew and I were assigned mattress duty and lugged the box spring up all of the tightly-wound claustrophobic stairs. We pulled things into the condo as everyone else moved them from the van to the elevator. We managed to finish quite quickly. Andrew and Michelle ran off to return the rental vehicle and pick up pizza. We cleaned up a bit more and ate the pizza.
Saturday Michelle drove Andrew to Seatac to fly off to SoCal for a week and a half the day after he moved into his new apartment. She and I hung out and went shopping in Seattle. I found a great deal at Banana Republic. I bought three pairs of slacks and two shirts for under $160. I consider that a score. We were shopping for stuff for Andrew's apartment, but only managed to find a doormat we liked. We also registered at Crate & Barrel for the items we wanted him to purchase but didn't have money for ourselves. We ate out for lunch and dinner. While on our way to lunch at Thaiger Room a woman hit my car with her car. It had us all shaken up, but Matilda came out of it with just a minor scratch on her bumper it seems. Not really certain if there wasn't any non-visual damage, sort of hard to tell, being non-visual and all. The woman's car was messed up. She had a big scratch and dent on the passenger side of her little Toyota hybrid. I think Matilda took a bite out of it just because she was pissed at the little car. (She sometimes has jealousy issues). The shopping helped calm my nerves and by the time I had purchased everything at Banana I was no longer shaky.
Sunday we hung out again, but this time in Woodinville. We purchased a ton of shit for Andrew. We got him some trailing flowers and baskets for the flowers that hang off of his fourth floor balcony. We registered at Target. We had much fun. I played Andrew and he was marrying Mia Self. We found him some new stuff we liked. It was lovely. I bought a cheap Girl Interrupted DVD. We ate at Bleu Café (or is it bistro? I cannot remember) They have the tastiest meals there. I kept wishing we'd run into the boys I saw last week when Ande, Zach and I went trying to eat dinner there after picking up Ande from the airport. There were two hot boys that apparently weren't a couple. It was tragic that they didn't flirt with us.
Monday night I ate out at the ever horrible Olive Garden with Zach. The salad is tasty but the pasta is horrible.
Tuesday night I went to R Place with Lawrence to check out my co-workers Karaoke show. We met the owner of R Place who is a very nice gentleman. I ate at Hot Mama's Pizza where we discovered that one of the employees there is a New Yorker just like Lawrence. They had much discussion and we all enjoyed ourselves waiting for the pizza-by-the-slice to be ready. Ande called me and I discussed her new found sex life loudly on Pine Street outside of Hot Mama's. It was all very entertaining.
Wednesday night I again hung out with Michelle. We hung up Andrew's new coat-wrack we had purchased Sunday for him. It is lovely, just don't put anything too heavy on it. We aren't as handy as we'd have liked to think of ourselves. (That and Andrew didn't have any of the right tools. Ever tried pre-drilling a hole for a screw using a dremil tool?) We watched Girl Interrupted after eating tasty Chinese take-out.
Today I finally went grocery shopping and ended the pattern of eating out. Zach and I started to watch Secretary when he shortly got bored of it after having insisted that I wait to watch it with him so we switched to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory via free cable movies. That was an acid trip, a very disappointing one. Ryan H. called me up and invited himself over at 1:30 am. Now he is laying on my bed snoring softly and I am concerned as to where I am going to sleep. He doesn't work tomorrow but I certainly do.
I am trying to figure out what I'm going to do for my birthday party. I want to invite John but we haven't spoken in almost three weeks. I hope he calls soon. I miss him.
Yet another ridiculously long post—these
