Excerpt from Nancy's Log

Today was interesting, to say the absolute least. First off, the unannounced return of our XO, Fox-One. I don't know about the rest of the team, who seem to just shoot jokes at him, but I'm glad to see him back and intact. Though, that wasn't where the weird started.

Warlock asked me to run a few tests on any samples I could locate in the alley where we found the Inheritor and those three soviet Red Triangle guys, as well as that Praetor. Turns out that not only were those three Red Triangle goons all the exact same person, but traces of salivary droppings... and I hope they were saliva... revealed a faint radioactive trace. A hair sample, presumably from Praetor, showed the same radiation wavelength. When I referenced this against the Matrix-manufactured Particle Beam rifle, it was a match.

I'm hesitant to tell the team, but I'm a little worried that the Matrix-Antaran maybe isn't dead... destroyed... whatever.

It gets weirder, though. I found out that John is an excellent dancer, provided he has someone to show him the moves, not to mention a pretty good kisser. All this, and even with the "D" word being used by others, we turned out okay. No giant insects... well, no *other* giant insects, and certainly no vampire ladies.

Anyway, back to the weird parts. Warlock and Coyote, a member of The Guard in New York who, coincidentally, is an Uplift like myself, have been spending a lot of time on the phone, and in light of recent news in Kansas about some attack at the future site of Stronghold, petitions to investigate. With the Commander on a class trip, that would leave myself and Fox-One as command staff. We weighed the options, and considered that since nothing was occuring in our current investigation, we decided to leave a notice informing any of the missing teammembers of our location, and headed out for Kansas...

Man, this area is flat! Prime craftstrip land, which I believe is the point. Though, when we got to the site of the 'attack', it was ... odd. They had removed the tractor that was flattened, and I mean *flattened*, and it was resting within what could only be described from above... a footprint.

Warlock talked to the Lieutenant on the beat, and then asked for some quiet time, and he made a circle thing and, within a few minutes, a creature arrived. Warlock explained to us before that this was a "Fairy" or something, and that this land belonged to her. She seemed a little upset, but was willing to barter, provided she liked our offer.

I hope this works... I really do..

More on this as it happens.
