i spent two days walking the streets of edinurgh with my osprey and never once did i go into the castle. i was thinking i would have time to come back to the city, but time constraints prevented it.
i did pass through manchester on the the to and fro scotland. had i thought about it i might have met some of my uk lj people for lunch.
there are a few rather nice pictures i was able to take, the best ones coming from lewis isle. here's my fave
I've never taken a tour no. It's silly really. I'd love to go to Stonehenge or Glastonbury, I've heard the energies there are so strong. The sense of history.
I go to Scotland quite often. I stayed in Glen Coe for new year. It's my favourite place in the world. It's so magical. Isle of Mull, Iona and Staffa are beautiful, and Skye.
I've visited London a few times as an old boyfriend was from there, and we'd go visit his mum, quite often and have a day in London wandering. Cornwall is really nice too. A great escape from rainy Manchester. :)
Heck - I've never even visited Birmingham and it's only 2 hours away.
it is such a small country and you haven't seen all the sites yet?, i think you should take a trip.
i went from north to south to east and west in the span of 2 weeks. in fact i got bored, so i mocked up my travels on a google map image.
i think i have a few pictured from glen coe on my drive up to skye
i just uploaded 600 more pictures to my fotki site. if you're bored enough to go through them..300 are for a photosynth i was trying to make, but didn't synth well enough.
