The men had been chased out (even the Bannik) and it was time for the dressmaker (a literal domestic goddess) on loan from the Faerie Court to get the bridesmaids fitted for their dresses.
She looked at the arrayed girls and smirked. "Aside from height, you all seem to be the same body type. That should make things simpler."
[For Gwynn]

It was just that she didn't usually dress in formal wear -- except for royal banquets or the Prom and Homecoming back at Fandom.

Teleri was currently getting measured. She typically went with sundresses these days, but back when she was trying to make it as an actress, she'd been to a few formal events. Eleziane of course had grown up in a Faerie court, and depending on the phase her daddy was in, she might dress very formally indeed.
T'ing tried to suppress a grimace. "Don't think I've worn a dress since my older sister's wedding." she muttered to Gwynn.

She'd had two daggers hidden in her dress even then.

Somewhere Tim was either facepalming or laughing and not knowing why.
"Eve said we were like a very fancy honor guard."

"I highly doubt that anyone wants to be foolish enough to bother you on your wedding day, ma'am."
Not in the least because Gwynn would indeed do her best to protect Tim's mother no matter what the cost.
"This is the first time I have been a part of something as important as this."
If you didn't count her crowning Richard -- which she didn't think she had even told Tim about.

"Yes, ma'am. I'm the best archer in the -- my father's army back home."
She kept herself from saying King. She trusted Tim's mother and Teleri and T'ing with finding out her secret, but she didn't know the dressmaker.

Tim's mother I need to hunt down these books in my basement and find out her name facepalmed. "Gwynn I'm so sorry, I forgot you weren't there when we discussed this. It was a kind of last minute. We're having the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids go armed for the ceremony. We're hoping this will be just ceremonial, but like I said, you never know."
"I don't suppose you have a bow and quiver that would go well with formal dress?" the dressmaker asked.

She looked at the seamstress. "I do not have one --" at hand "--but I believe I can probably procure one."
By her and Eve going shopping as there was no way she was asking Philip for one as he would ask too many bloody questions.
And then he would want to come and see her dressed formally.

"We'll want to allow for freedom of movement of course." the seamstress said. "As usual men have it easy in that department. Well as long as they don't mind getting their tuxes dirty."
"They didn't mind getting them dirty at prom." T'ing offered. She turned to Gwynn. "We've told you that story right?"
Reply
"No, I don't think you've told me that story as of yet."
It sounded like it might be a story that almost beat the story of her and Tim having children showing up for them the day after Prom...

"Bitch is more like it." Eleziane grumbled.
"Anyway," T'ing giggled. "Baba Yaga wanted to unleash an army of monsters on the world. And we wound up having the final deciding battle at prom." She left out the part where Tim and she were dating at the time.

Gwynn snickered, shaking her head. "Your prom sounds like how the graduations at the island always go."
Reply
"Wait!" Eleziane said, "First we have to tell you how prom ended."
"Ah ye only want te brag 'bout how you were voted Prom Queen." Teleri giggled. "Sure an' how yer daddy mistook herself's flyin' house fer a ringwraith an' brought it down on top of her."
