It was a good thing Tim had returned safe and sound from the void. Teleri would never have forgiven him if he'd gone and vanished without giving her a chance to warm up her voice. The little bit of humor helped. He was kind of shaken from the whole experience.
So he was pacing around the apartment alternating between picking up the phone, and putting back down, and looking at some keepsakes from the past.
