He had already left for work when she had woken up, that was something about him, he was so silent when he moved, and she turned on her side, slowly running a hand over the pillow where he had been laying. No, no, this wouldn't do, she couldn't stay in bed all day, it just wouldn't do.
Forcing herself from under the warm covers she pads towards the bathroom to take a shower before dressing and then heading to the kitchen for breakfast. It was a warm sunny morning and Crookshanks was sunning by the window and Hedgewig was fast asleep in the cage.
This place seemed awfully strange, she had met Harry but it wasn't her Harry, is was crazy to think it, but he was from another world it seemed. But in a way it was still her Harry, still her best friend.
Having dressed she grabbed her bag and keys she left the apartment and headed out onto the streets. So how would they do it back home? Look in the job centers, news papers...Oh yes, that was always a good place to start.
She found herself a little while later walking through the streets, paper in her hand, searching for some kind of job. It wasn't like she could teach magic here like she had back in San Francisco.
