Swan shivered after being trapped in teh rain all night. he was soaked clear through to the point his bones felt cold. As soon as morning came he was up and moving trying to get warm and dry. He hadn't pulled out of the depression yet and he didn't think he ever would. Most people left him be except for the few visits from Plissken. The necklace was more a burden to him but he wore it anyway. He had to or he might lose his mind
( ... )
She whimpered softly as he pulled her up and towards his lap. Everything seemed fuzzy to her and she didn't know how long she had been gone, how long she had been falling or where she was. She just felt the cold. Aggie began to shiver, eyes still closed.
After a moment her face seemed to crumple, and tears fell down her face, "Let me go back..please...I want to go back."
Swan was still frozen in place when she started to cry. He felt torn. He was afraid of her wings, terrified of what ever had happpened but he still felt the same even if she came back from the dead.
He finally touched the tears on her cheek. He was having a hard time with this. He'd seen her die, felt her body when she had stiffened from death and here she was alive. Swan started questioning the past few days. He wasn't sure if they were real anymore or maybe they were and this was a dream. HE suddenly wanted to scream and run but he didn't dare move. She was too cold and he was too cold to move from the spot he was in.
She felt the touch on her cheek and frowned just a little. No one had touched her tenderly since she had died. Noone had been able to. What had they done to her?
Reaching up she placed her hand over the one touching her tears and her frown deepened. Someone was there, someone who could touch her. Her eyes opened and there was confusion on her face. A couple of blinks as she tried to focus.
Swan felt his breath catch when she moved. He still was trying to deal with the fact she was dead or not dead now. Swan took her hand afraid to hold it and almost fearing that he'd wake up. This had to be a dream. All he could do was stare as the wind kicked up the wet feathers around her. He was too stunned and he tried to say something anything but he felt mute.
Swan was still wide-eyed when she started to talk. It wasn't until she touched his face that he moved and that was only to take her hand and press it to his lips. He continued to stare down at her almost not comprehending the question.
Swan was momentarily shocked by her moving and the cry but it changed when she held him. He didn't care suddenly if it was a dream or reality. If it was reality he'd deal with it later and if it was a dream he should make the best of it. His arms pressed around her and he kissed her like he might never kiss her again. It could be a dream after all and maybe he'd never have another one.
Aggie felt a jolt flash through her as his lips pressed to her own and she kissed him back with equal need and passion. She had been sure she had lost him forever, and yet here he was, and theyw ere kissing.
The lost strand of material that had been wrapped around her dropped to the ground.
Swan pulled back from her still trying to determine what was happening. His eyes worked over her uncovered body and he felt desire burn hot. It was the woman he craved there was no question. Then his eyes hit the wings and his brow crumpled in confusion. His eyes worked back and forth between the points at the top of the arc and feathers on the ground. He was really having an easier time with her not being dead then he was with the wings. Looking back at her his hands worked around to her back and he felt where the wings met her body. It only brought more confusion and his hands just stayed there tensing up like his body was starting to. It was hard to tell whether it was more from shock, confusion or disbelief.
She watched his face with confusion, not understanding what was wrong. Eyes slid closed at the feel of his hands moving up her back, but when the stopped and she felt...
Aggie's eyes opened wide and she looked at him with shock. Slowly she turned to look back over her shoulder and it was then she saw the high arches of the tops of her wings, then the feathers scattered around them.
She understood the pain now.
Turning back to look at Swan her eyes filled up with tears.
It wasn't until she started to cry that he finslly took his eyes from the wings. He nickname was rattling around. He wanted to say it but the wings took away his ability to talk. He didn't know what to make of anything that was happening but the tears were enough for him to pull her in for a comforting hug.
She hid her face in his neck, crying softly. Everything that she had been through, the past few days, up there waiting all on her own. "I...I'm sorry..."
Slowly she pulled away from him, her eyes fell onto the chain around his neck and she fingered it softly. "I don't know what to do."
Reaching out she took hold of his hand, placing it softly to her heart, "does a dream have a heart beat...or...or could a dream..." She shifted forward and kissed him again, "Could a dream love you with every breath?"

Every part of her body ached, more so her back and she put it down to where she had been shot.
"You are here, you... Oh Swan.." She held onto him even tighter, "I thought I had lost you forever."
