“No, let go of me!” Aggie fought against the hands that held her, “Let me go, let me go!” She screamed the words at the top of her lungs. Finally she slipped from the grasp and ran as fast as she could, ready to take the fall once more, prepared to lose everything to be by his side. Everything she had wanted back, all of it meant little to her compared with the way she felt about Swan. He said he loved her too, she wouldn’t leave him, not now, not when he needed her so much.
Other guards moved into her path and wisps of smoke wound from the ground and around her wrists, holding her back. Aggie screamed pulling tightly, the chains digging into her wrists. She screamed Swan’s name, tears streaming down her cheeks. She needed him, wanted to be with him.

“Stop the noise Agnes.”

She felt her heart jump into her chest and she turned to see her creator standing there, “Send me back, let me go back to him.”

“Agnes, you know how things work, I can…”

“Send me back!” She screamed the words at him and it only made him laugh.

“You really are your brother's sister little one.”

“Please, let me go,” her voice became a whisper, “I have a place I belong, a man I love. Don’t let me abandon him.”

“What’s done is done, and because you gave your life to save his you are back here with us. All we need to agree on is where to place you and what charges to give you.”

Aggie fell to her knees and began to sob softly; she knew what was to come. The charges, the clothes, the book, the wings and then her emotions would be stripped from her.

“You will remain chained here until your position has been considered. It will give you a chance to reflect on the things you have done. While you wait we will grant you the same opportunity as everyone is given. You will be able to visit one person in a dream, a chance to say goodbye.”

With those words everything went dark and Aggie was left on her own.
