She'd curled herself up under his blanket under the pier. The boys looked at her a little strange, her red puffy eyes, but the look on her face told them not to ask any questions. She just wanted to be left on her own

Swan had laid on the bench until he had caught his breath. He wanted to run again but he just laid there plagued by every uncertainty he could imagine. Eventually he pulled himself to his feet and headed to her place. She wasn't there and he felt fear prickle up with the pain. His next stop was Snake and even through the glaring and anger he could see in that one eye he stood there while SNkae worked out someplaces to check. He hit the church with no luck and felt exhausted bith from looking and feeling too much turmoil

Aggie shivered a little from the feel of his hand on her shoulder. She was half asleep, half awake, unable to completely settle because he wasn't there, because of the void between them. But here, here she felt close to him. She could smell him on the blanket.
She reached up and took hold on his hand, pulling it down and around her as she slowly turned to face him. Her face was still pale, eyes still red and puffy. Slowly a tear fell down her cheek.
Swan frowned at the tear some and shook his head. He felt the madness coming back. The stab wound, Snake getting up from being shot, the girl, the crazy explainations and he fought with them. Eventually he tightened his grip on her hand and laid down in the sand next to the blanket. He just wanted to hold her and think. Swan pulled her closer laying his head on the cool sand.
Aggie moved closer to him, as close as she could get and laid her head against him. It was only through him she found some warmth. She hated this place sometimes, but it was all he had.
Sniffing softly she laid a kiss on his chest before close her eyes.
Swan felt her shiver and scooted under the blanket pulling her close and half way on top of him to get her away from the coolness under the blanket below them. He held her trying to think. The only thing that seemed to make sense was holding her was right even if the rest of teh world seemed to have gone wrong.
Curling up on his chest and bit her lip. "I'm sorry...sorry i brought you into all of this mess...sorry you have seen such awful things...I...I'm sorry I hurt you." She hid her face in his chestm crying softly, "All I ever wanted was love and...." Her voice cracked, "I'm not sorry it was with you."
It's not your fault. Swan held her tight. It really wasn't anyones fault just how the world worked. I'm not sorry either even if I have to learn to deal.
Aggie nodded slowly, "If I hadn't got to Vegas...You would be in this mess." She fell silent for a long time, "I...It hurts so much...the though of never having you in my life, of not being able to love you...it hurts."
Everyone lives like that Angel. I could die any time; a car, the flu, a knife. Swan frowned. I know that is life and I know I could lose you just as easily.
"But you are putting yourself out there more. It is more likely that I will lose you. I have never lost someone, not someone I cared about...let alone love."
Aggie let out a stiffled sob and pulled the blanket up and over her head. She didn't want to think about that. She didn't want himt o die on her. It hurt her so much to think about it.
