London. London Granger. London Jayne Granger. London John Granger. The names stuck in her head. Boy, girl, boy, girl. Sometimes she sat with her hands on her stomach trying to see if she could sense what it was, if she could sense it at all. Azi was sure it was a girl, he always said she, always called the baby she. Their baby.
She'd stopped off at the clinic so they could take some blood for her next visit and after a long rest, which was someone almost forcing her to sit down and have a drink and a biscuit, she was heading over to see Azi at the shop. Or at least she was until she happened by a baby store. She stood gazing into the window for a long time, a hand resting softly against her stomach, just looking at all the clothes in the window. The shoes were so tiny and she wanted nothing more than to go in there and spend silly amounts of money. She shouldn't.
She couldn't.
No she couldn't, she couldn't stand there and not go in. Phoning the shop she left a message for Azi that she would be there later than she had expected and stepped into the store. Half an hour later she came out of the store with a couple of bags in her hands and a pale complexion, nausea. It was a bitch and it seemed to be coming back now, at least this time she knew it wasn't the painkillers. Leaning against the shops outer wall she took long deep breaths. Part of her wondered what the rest of the pregnancy would be life, this was just the beginning and this was no ordinary baby.
