Surf's up (open)
She wished it was next weekend already, the lure of surfing was pulling her in and the waves here just didn't seem to get big enough. She pouted softly and crossed her arms over her chest. She was seriously bored and she wanted something to do.
'Daddy.' Her eyes scanned the water, 'Daddy!' But there was still no sign of him, it had been years since the Goddess had seen her father, at least he would come when she called him right. 'Hey Da....' She screamed a strong arms wrapped around her, lifted her up and tossed her into the ocean. Breaking the surface she looked up to see her father stood laughing at her.
"No wonder Hermes always got one over on you. You are such an easy target." The dirty look that was thrown his way made him laugh all the more. "Come here and let me look at you."
Iris hesitated for a moment, but only one, and she was soon moving towards him and wrapping her arms around his neck. She felt just like a little girl again. 'Daddy I...'
"I know,"
'And I..'
"I know sweetheart and when the time is right we will meet him, and when your mother stops being mad at me too."
Iris smiled and nodded knowing what her mother could be like sometimes. 'I miss you.'
"I know and I miss you to, but we all have places we need to be." He looked out to the ocean, "You always pick a home by the ocean so I can keep an eye on you."
She blushed a little and nodded, but as he took a step back sadness filled her eyes, he was leaving again, she knew he was.
"I will come and see you soon, but until then I have a gift for you." The Sea God shimmered out and the ocean began to change and swell, large waves appeared off of the shore, large enough to surf on.
A smile broke out on the goddess' face and she made her clothes change into something more suitable, her surf board appearing next to her. Time to have some fun.
