The conversation with Snake had stuck in her head and after why Apollyon had said to her, she really needed to know and this was way probably the way to find out

Azi walked in behind her, his wings rustling restlessly against his shirt. He mentally scanned the clinic. "The doctor is in the back, Angel," he said softly, and afforded the man a bit longer than anyone else because he recalled he had a bad leg and walked with a cane.

But after a moment, Dr House appeared, looking rough around the edges, with his cane in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.

"Doctor, might you have time to speak with us?" Azi approached the man. "Hermione can't seem to keep anything down, the pills you prescribed are making her ill."

House looked between the two. "Exam three." He said, and slid his coffee mug onto the reception desk.

Hermione let out a breath, there were other reasons she was here too, something she needed to know.

She smiled up at Azi before following the doctor to the exam room. 'Thank you for seeing me so quickly.'

Azi walked beside Hermione, and gave her hand a gentle squeeze before letting it go to follow her into the exam room.

"Did you bring your perscription with you?" House had gone to the files and pulle her folder. He had it open in front of him, eyes scanning his notes.

She nodded slowly and reached into her purse before handing the bottle to House, 'It's to help with my wound on my side.'

After a moment she looked up at Azi, 'Sweetie, could you go and get me a glass of water or something?' She wanted a moment with House on her own.

ooc: I have no idea what her pain killers are as no-one has repplied to the clinic thread

Azi nodded. he kissed her cheek, then slipped out of the room, understandingg the request for what it was.

"We can lower the dose, if you would be more comfortable, or we can try something else." House commented, taking the bottle from her.

[OOC: Yeah. Maybe best to handwave it at this point? Being offline for nearly a week has set me so far behind in all my games that I'm trying to cut where I can to make up for lost time, because I play in several games and I'm really overwhelmed right now between that and all the modly stuff for my game, I would rather move forward at this point]

She watched Azi leave and then turned to look back at House, what in heavens name was the best way to do this?

Just come right out with it.

'I'm pregnant,' or at least Apollyon had told her, 'well I am 99% sure I am. Azi doesn't know yet.'

"Well. That certainly changes things." House arched a brow. "Is it his?" Was the kindest way he could ask, if it had possobly happened when she was held captive.

'Of course,' she said softly and she smiled a little, 'I want you to test me though, to see whether I am or not. If you don't mind of course.'

"Not at all." House returned the smile. "It's a simple blood test. You want to do it now, while he's out of the room, or wait for him to come back?"

'Before,' she said softly, 'I just want to be sure before I tell him,' there was a kindness in her voice, 'we have been talking about children, joking really. I don't want to get his hopes up for them to be dashed.'

"All right. Lie back." House hung the handle of his cane off the counter and worked up a blood kit. "Just try to relax." He prepared a spot on her arm to take the sample.

She laid back on the exam table and turned her head to watc him. 'Thank you Dr House, for this and for helping Aggie and I the other day.'

"I wish I didn't have to, but I'm glad I was able to." House got his blood sample, quickly and easily. "This test takes about half an hour to run, and then we'll know. And once we know, we'll figure out what to do about your pain meds."

She nodded slowly, 'is there anything else you want to do while we wait?' She really didn't want to leave here, her mind would be on the results anyway. 'Do you want to do a full medical while I am here, this is my local clinic.'

Anything to not have to sit and wait for the results.

"Let me go get the tet started. Do you want me to send him back in?" House reached for his cane.

She nodded slowly, 'Please,' she smiled to herself for a moment, running her hands over her flat stomach. 'I would like that.'
