The club was all ready, now all they needed was the band, the acts, dancers and costumes. It had been a long hard few months and it was amazing how time flew and how quickly people worked when you offered them money, and a lot of it.
She had granted everyone a day off and was going to take full advantage of this herself. She got herself dressed for a day out on the town and no knowing anyone really didn't bother her. The city was large and there were many places she could go.
Having come out of the jewelry store after arranging to have a jewel made into a necklace, the special diamond that Roger had given her on their first meeting, she headed down the street, stopping every once in a while to look in the windows of some stores. She needed to remember at some point to advertise the vacant positions in the local papers.
