I think I've mentioned how I admire the spirit of entreprenurism that the Chinese seem to have. Today it occurred to me that many people are more or less forced start their own business. Wages are ridiculously low for blue collar workers and not really that great for white collar workers either if they have any dependents. If someone want to make enough money to have a kid and send him or her to school, they need to find a way to boost their income, and the boss isn't likely to be passing out raises. So what do you do when all the jobs are low paying even for people with experience? Start your own company. It's the only way out.
Put another way, do low ceilings on income for skilled workers encourage entreprenurism?
