Patch: 1994-2011
Patch passed away this morning. He was suffering from a heart murmur, severe arthritis, and dementia, and it was time to say goodbye. I probably should have euthanized him a few weeks ago, but I wasn't sure whether he might improve, and it's a hard decision to make. But he went peacefully, while I held him, and is now with his siblings and friends across the Rainbow Bridge.
These are the last pictures I took of him. It's difficult to tell from these photos how emaciated he was.
