This weekend turned out to be a "beach" weekend. First, on Saturday, we went to Rockaway beach with our friends. Needless to say that after Dominican, the ocean at Rockaway seemed too cold and dirty. Sounds like you had an awesome time!!! I've heard so much about Fire Island, I definitely want to go! Maybe, as you suggested, we can all rent a house there for the weekend? I get back from training this friday, so any time after this evening is cool wiht me. What do you think? Anyone else want in?

I'd go for it...maybe in a week or so because we just went several days ago...But yeah, if enough people want to go...:)

Wow, that sounds amazing the way you described it. I'd love to go to Fire Island. I dont think i'd been out in nature at all this summer...yep, not even a single trip to the beach. With moving and other assortment of headaches, my summer pretty much sucked so far :((( Does sitting on a bench in Central Park a few Sundays in a row count? This is pathetic, i would love to get away. Would help if this insane heat and humidity went away first... :)
So that being said, i'm totally in for renting a house on Fire Island for the weekend. What do you say around Labor Day?

I think it sounds great. It would be an awesome relaxing summer trip. The only thing is that me and Dimik will be in Montreal on the labor day. So maybe one of these weekends or the next weekend in September would be best. We could go on Friday evening and stay over until Sunday night. What do you think?

And about you missing out on the beach. Let's have a beach weekend closer, say go to Manhatten beach or Rockaway one of these weekend. Da xot' sleduuschiiy. That's doable and should be done :). Poplavaesh, zagorish...:)
