Leslie is in the hospital as of early yesterday (Wednesday) morning. Same problem as before--her temperature started up and wouldn't go down, her leg started turning fiery red, so in she went and in she stayed. She is on antibiotics and pain meds. We don't know for long yet, but the doctor wants to try to run some cultures to see if they can get some indication of exactly what is going on. When she's been in before, the cultures all came out negative. Ardyn stayed the night, hopefully on a cot in her room. Heather and I left before the cot arrived and we didn't hear whether it arrived or not.
On another note, I went to the doctor on Tuesday because a place on my back started turning red and swelling. It didn't particularly hurt, but it was deemed prudent by the daughters that the doctor should see it. So now, I am on antibiotics and hot poultices, each four times a day, which is minorly interfering with hospital visits to Leslie. Trying to juggle my meds with everything else going on is frustrating, but the meds schedule needs to be followed, too. Part of the trouble is that some meds need to be taken a specific time before eating, some need to be taken with eating, and some a specific time after eating. And eating needs to be on a regular schedule! You know, I don't mind getting older, but the upkeep could kill you from frustration!
So far, Heather and Ardyn are holding up, trying to keep the sickies from getting worse and trying not to get sick themselves.
Oh, well, it's always interesting at our house. And the twins aren't even here, they're at home, drying Mom and Dad goofy!
Talk to you later, when I know more. Love and hugs to all the sweet kids out there, especially the not-so-well ones.
