my boss is such a moron. he severely underestimates me. he's trying to tell us that if we work "at least 7 hours" we have to take "two unpaid 15 minute breaks and one unpaid hour of lunch." so you're telling me that i have to take 1.5 hours out of my work day UNPAID for lunch and breaks? i don't think so, fucker. i've never done that before. "uh, well, it's the law, there's nothing i can do about it." and then i tell him, no, it's not the law, because my mother is the director of human resources for SBC, and she says you only have to OFFER your employees a 20 minute lunch, and that you can make your own rules regarding their lunches and breaks. "uh, well, i mean, uh, i can check on it, but uh, yeah." DUMBASS. lying piece of shit. so today i go to the illinois department of labor website, and sure enough, it says: "An employee who is to work 7 1/2 continuous hours or more shall be provided an unpaid meal period of at least 20 minutes. The meal period must be given to an employee no later than 5 hours after beginning work. Illinois has no law regarding breaks." INTERESTING...you stupid, lying piece of shit! god, i hate him! does he think i'm just going to be like "ok, i will take 1.5 hours out of my day UNPAID." uh, no. that equals $93.75 a week unpaid because of his lying ass stupidity! I DON'T THINK SO, FUCK. don't mess with the elroyz. so i printed out the law and highlited it for him. hahaha. i know he's going to try to make some shit up about how there really IS a law that we have to take 1.5 hours of breaks! and i will report his ass to the illinois department of labor and he will be fucked!
