(no subject)
Hey everyone! For those of you not reading my other journal, I've been in Vietnam for a week now and am getting settled in here in Can Tho (pronounced something like Can Tuh) city. I'm too lazy to log off this and post in mandanza right now, so here's the update of the day:
I now have wireless access at the university. I can't seem to use any sort of IMing, though, which is kind of a bummer because that was kind of what I most wanted to use it for. I will have a break between 11 AM and 2 PM, or 9PM and midnight CA time, that's probably the best chance I'll have to catch US people online, but... hm. So I might have to resort to internet cafes for chatting, still. There are two computers in the SIT office but everyone always wants to use them so there's never much time.
Today I rode my bike through oncoming traffic! It was pretty exciting. (I had no choice; if the light changes when you're in the middle of the intersection, they're just gonna go for it...)
Off to Vietnamese language class! I can now say "I don't know Vietnamese"!
Edit, and sorry if I double post: I think I've just gotten Skype to work, so if you want to talk to me, sign onto Skype tomorrow evening and I may be on. My Skype username is mandanza.
