My musical career...

... still seems to be alive and kicking, apparently. Well, in a way. To start with, and this has been bubbling under for a few months but I now feel it has progressed far enough to safely announce it in public, but my band Morgueazm is making a video!!! Whoohooo!!! It's looking rather amazing so far from the rushes I've seen involving special effects, story line etc. The only thing that could spoil it is the footage of the actual band which we are hopefully shooting in July. Why could it spoil it? Well who wants to watch a group of faded old metalheads posing with guitars and drums when there is such a great amount to see in the rest of the video? Ahh well I ain't going to spoil it by telling you what it's about, lets just say don't watch it unless you are a fan of horror movies. And I might add, some of the scenes I've seen so far even make me squirm and that's no easy feat. Huge kudos to my new friends at Pangea Films in New York who approached us and asked us if we would let them shoot a video free of charge so they can use it to showcase their talents and promote their services worldwide. They were initially drawn by the Morgueazm website which features, in their words, "babes and blood". Then they got hooked on the music and knew they wanted Morgueazm to be their band of choice. Great stuff, and although it's all being done for free, it will still be our video, promoting the band and music alongside Pangea Films. Just don't eat anything before you watch it.

Along other musical lines, recently I was approached by a film company based in Yorkshire UK and they are going to make a documentary about NWoBHM record label; Ebony. Ebony was famous during the 80's for being a driving force behind the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (in case you were wondering what all those letters meant) and the documentary will focus on the rise and fall of Ebony with contributions from all the bands that were on the label. Of course, my old band Blood Money were signed to Ebony during the 80's and so I will be one of those talking heads offering little stories and anecdotes about the label and the bands themselves. If you haven't heard of Ebony (and if you're not a metalhead you won't have), some of the bands that started there (but later moved on to other labels) were Grim Reaper and, it seems, Mercyful Fate. Yes I will appear in a documentary alongside Mercyful Fate vocalist King Diamond so that'll do huge enormous things to my ego heehee. It looks as though the film crew will be shooting at me sometime in July and could possibly coincide with the Morgueazm video shoot as they are interested in showing what ex Ebony bands are doing nowadays. And it's going to be on telly!!! Hopefully.

And in lesser news, my radio show the Autopsy Report is plodding along nicely like a rhino, airing from around 15 + internet radio stations and various podsites and this week is a special crossover show with two other radio shows; Ye Olde Metal Shoppe with contributions from my friend Bob in the USA and The Metal Breakfast Radio Show with my mates Dave Ingram (ex Bolt Thrower) and Donovan Spencely. Those two shows are also doing their own crossovers which include contributions from myself and Dave has promoted all three shows all over the place including Blabbermouth and it seems, on the tickertape rolling across the bottom of CNN news. Oh my. I may yet achieve world fame and wealth. Or not.

So there you have it. And with regards to my recent surge of musical vitality and infamy, no need to worry because it hasn't gone to my head and I feel it only right that you should still address me as my family and close friends do, you can call me Sir. Muhahaha...
