Fashioned in Clay

For my own benefit, when in six month's time I've completely forgotten, some words on Wallace and Gromit's new look.

Harvey Nichols is opening a new store in, of all places, Bristol, and to advertise it wanted something very local. Cream Sherry? Nope. Wallace and Gromit. The result is disturbingly effective. I think Wallace looks rather good, although I'm less convinced Gromit is a dog for scarves...

*Catwalk type voice* Lady "Totty" Tottington is wearing a black draped dress by Alexander McQueen, fabulous red patent shoes by Christian Louboutin and a metallic bronze ‘Puffy’ bag by Zagliani. To her right, Wallace models a Alexander McQueen navy cashmere and silk suit. He also wears a Dolce & Gabbana fitted white shirt and a Giorgio Armani tie. Gromit sports a navy silk scarf by Paul Smith.

Above: Wallace is reclining in a woollen suit of Prince of Wales check by Paul Smith, while Gromit wears a purple-striped silk scarf by Duchamp and aa pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

A video of the "photo shoot" is available here.
