It occurred to me it might be a good idea to shove my impressions down on here before reading any opinions elsewhere. So apart from reading one small amount of squee focused exclusively on Gene Hunt, I come to this unsullied by any other forum threads. Ramblings, mutterings, theories and speculation follow. There may well be a good deal of 'WTF?'

Oooh, I think this is going to be a fun ride! KH is simply wonderful in this role and I think because she's more settled in has kept a semblance of her posh accent but dropped it down just a notch so as not to bother the boys.
Glenister's Hunt is so one-note all the time but he plays that note so well. There's no real character there, just an attitude. It seems to work though. (I must admitted I hated him all through LOM: hated the character. Still would never want to be his friend but he is entertaining.)
