Getting back on Track

Jun 02, 2011 18:06

Well, today began my first day without my drivers license.

I managed to put my "back out" for the second time in my life whilst packing for the Pencampwr Camping Weekend. The first time was about a fortnight ago, right after a tourney.

I think I've got to stop hurting myself and start healing. And getting fit. At just shy of 130kg this is the heaviest I've ever been. I've been here before but I'm not happy about being at this weight again. Particularly as I'm getting older and I no longer have youth to carry me through this poor lifestyle.

I know that 3 months of walking an hour a day are going to do wonders for my health and maybe, maybe help me lose some weight. I was thinking perhaps that if it works out I might ditch my car and do without. But that's likely a bit extreme and makes me too reliant on other people for car rides when I really need them. As my good old Dad suggested, perhaps I can keep the car just for weekends and emergencies.

Will I fight this weekend? Only if I'm a complete idiot. And since that's well established, I guess I'll be in the King & His Knights Pas d'Armes. I really, really don't want to miss that.

Thank goodness I have a Chiro appointment for tomorrow morning already scheduled in.
