The OnDemand feature of Comcast is the pretty much the only way we watch TV anymore. ABC & NBC have recently put their upcoming pilots for this season on. (CBS has had many of their shows on all along, one of the many reasons why they're the best network.)
A new show coming to NBC is Chuck. The pilot* is pretty darn good.
It's funny. It spoofs American culture well. (He works in the NerdHerd at a Buy More, which is next to a LargeMart.) It has action. It has an original premise. And it's got Adam Baldwin. (Jayne from Firefly)
I like it.
Which means it's doomed like human rights in China.
Like a real estate broker in Pompeii.
Like an '80s band at a PETA conference.
I give it a half a season. Tops.
So I'm starting a preemptive 'Save Chuck' campaign.
Give it a try- 09/24, 8:00 EST, NBC
*This is only based on the pilot. If the show turns out to suck, I'll be the first to throw it under the bus.
