Travelling to Japan

Greetings all! It has been ages since I updated this thing regularly, but I have a good excuse to start doing so again now. My scientific exploits have led me to a conference in Japan, and given how expensive it is to get there, I and a bunch of friends and co-attendees are touring around a bit as well. I have a bunch of notes to turn into posts about our adventures which I will be posting here, a bit out of sync, but nevertheless as quickly as I can manage. This will be hindered by said adventures as they drag me away from the computer, of course, as well as the availability of free or affordable Internet connections (the wireless I have access to the moment, for instance, is a little iffy).

So, I will end this now so I can get on with the updates!
