Crazy thing called love.

Ok I usually don't delve to much into basic emotions. Mainly because I hardly understand mine. I've been contemplating the subject of love. I would guess it has to do with the crazy capitalistic holiday that is coming in two days. They make it seem that you have to do something special for the one you love. I personally think that you should have this mentality all year, not just because the card companies, the chocolate manufactures and the florists want you to spend your money on their products. That is not what love is really about. Love is unconditional. It is or it isn't, there is no in between. I feel that there are varying degrees of love. The love you feel for a child is different that that you feel for a lover.
Then you have that instant love, what I like to call a crush. Everyone have felt it. You connect with a certain individual on some level and wish to explore that person. Can this be detrimental to an existing relationship. Oh hell yeah, but that doesn't stop the feelings. How much you let that feeling rule you, is ultimately what saves or destroys your current relationship. I do know that in the past few weeks I have found one person in particular very interesting. I admit that I've wanted to explore that person get to know them better. I haven't, and that is because of my current relationship. I am in a relationship full of love and I want it to last.

I'm not saying that we don't have our rough times, we do, probably more than we should thanks to me, but I know that I am in love. The kind of love that lasts all year. The kind that you don't need special holidays to celebrate. OK, I'm off my soap box. I just needed to get that off my chest and out there. I've been thinking a lot about love the past few weeks. I'll be thinking about it for a lot longer than that, too. Crazy in Love, I guess I could be called. Crazy, doesn't even begin to cover it.

valentines day, love
