Okay that is so flattering coming from you. Thank you. I like most of my icons to be clear so you can see them. Something a little foggy or something is okay but I love icons where the actual picture is viewable.

I haven't figured out how to use all the brushes like you have. I can't get them to always look as cool so I tend to settle for what I can do.

ok, so it's flattering for me that you are flattered by my comment :D

I like clear icons a lot, I think it's one of the tricky things to be able to make art so small and still being able to see and identify clearly what it is.

Actually, I don't really use brushes that much. Most of the time I use stockpics. And if I do use a brush, I mostly use the standarts, blur them a lot and blend them on various levels. You can do so very much with blending! It's one of the coolest things I think :)

LOL - so we pretty much flatter each other. lol

It is hard to make the icons look clear! I discovered in PS CS2 that if an picture is saved as a gif you should change it to a jpeg before you start messing with it. JPEG have better pixelation for when you want to downsize them.

I don't know stockpics. Is that something is PhotoShop? I prefer photoshop as I got no where in Paint Shop.

Stockpics are just random pictures of god knows what, and you blend them to get color effects or texture or something like that.

I'm using PS CS2 as well :)

do you know where to find the blend mode options?

take any random pic, blur it a little and then try the blend modes

you can see it here, where it says Normal, if you click there, you get to see all the blend options, choose the first one and scroll through all of them and see what they do to your picture ;)

well I think I get how you do it but I'm not so sure I can make anything nice from it. Where do you find stockpics?

there are special sites for free stockpics, or photoes I took myself. Flowers make nice coloring when you blend a blured verion :)
