wow. been a while. all i can say is that nyc is the place to be. even for me; that meaning if you're able to handle the continuous hordes of poeple constantly brushing by you and don't mind walking 4+ miles a day or the combination of all the fucking traffic and loud noises, this place is for you. my one other minute gripe is the price of EVERYHTING is outrageous, with the exception of chinese food and pizza. (which all the walking takes care of. i've lost 10lbs already.) yep, there is a bit of absolutely everything within any most given 10 mile radius.
my school is wonderful. the instructors know their shit. they back it up with not only skill but knowledge for everything within my field (illustration) and then some. also, i've never been any more social or met as many people in my entire life than up here and at my dorms and at random rooftop/house parties. there's barely any discrimination between social groups/cliqs or race. i love it. the music is off the hook. there are like 6 shows, big ones, within the next month. i will be broke. it's also nice to have some true oldschool friends and the most wonderful girlfriend here to back me up when i get, dare i say it, homesick.
aside from school not much else is new except for 9/11. it was a very strange day. you could definitely feel how it affected this entire city. on a lighter note, that evening, we went to the prominod in brooklyn... and i don't know if anyone outside of new york saw on the news but they had two gigantic spot lights in place of where the two towers once stood. it was gorgeous, eerie and peaceful. i took pictures. one day i will show them to you.
everyone take care.
one.
