Could a the tidal wave following an impact have been the origin of the flood myth? The most popular theory is that the story of Noah's flood is based on one or more extremely heavy Tigris-Euphrates seasonal floods. I think I've read mention of a tidal wave theory, but I don't think it mentioned an impact. Do any of you know of any impacts in the Indian ocean between 20,000 and 5,000 BC?
