Mostly I wanted to clean the fridge of leftovers and older veggies without creating huge amounts of more leftovers. So, deviled eggs because I had a craving. Then the remains of a red onion, a chunk of salami, a yellow squash and a zucchini plus about a third of a jar of ragu sauce and a clove of garlic simmered together until vondow got home and a box of penne.
What did the kids eat? Margarine. Took vondow long enough to get home that the Blue Bonnet didn't melt into their noodles (sauce always on the side for them). I was still getting drinks and didn't realize, so when then asked for more, I gave them another thin slice each. I did try...
