Why aren't months made longer, dammit?!

I'm currently in Glasgow and about to eat lunch, then go off house hunting (as in, hunting down historical family houses, not looking for somewhere to live :D).

Amazingly, Glasgow has responded to my impending walkabout by canning the rain that carried on solidly all day yesterday and this morning. The sun has even come out!
Thanks, Glasgow!

Hopefully, I'll also have time to return to the Kelvingrove Museum, which I only got halfway through before it closed, the other day (what can I say, I got distracted by the free organ recital in the main hall, which included the themes to Star Wars and Indiana Jones, amongst other things!)

Then, this evening, I'm meeting up with a couple of ladies I met while I was on the islands.

In relatively unrelated news,* I now own:

* the complete extended editions of the Lord of the Rings DVDs (£30 for the lot, for crying out loud!)

* 2 DVDs of Bill Bailey live

* the film version of Terry Pratchett's Going Postal, as well as his books Making Money and The Dark Side of the Sun (2 for 1)

* the Counting Crows album August and Everything After.

About the only thing I didn't come away with was a boxed set of The Mentalist which, along with the Counting Crows CD, was all I actually went in there looking for!!!

I think, speaking from a purely financial standpoint, that the banjo is going to have to wait...
*sigh*

* Except, perhaps, that Glasgow is apparently known for its shopping.
