Although, frankly, I don't care what any other old ladies collect,as long as they don't insist on me enjoying them for hours on end!
Speaking of dinky things, though...
What Ordino also has is the Nicolai Siadristy Museum of Miniature Sculptures. It's near impossible to find shots of his stuff on the net and I can't find the postcards we bought last time we were there, in amongst the chaos that we call a house.
I found a couple of examples for you, though:
1. A pair of swallows, with their babies (in gold) in a nest which is actually half of a poppy seed.
2. Fox with grapes, again in gold, set in one half of a grape seed.
And yes, you have to view his work through microscope lenses!!!
We've been there twice, now; once on our own and once with the kids and it never stops being amazing!
