My Journey Continues...
Civilization has made some drastic changes in the ten years I've been away. Everything has gone electronic. Everyone owns a home computer and/or a laptop (which was hard enough to get my mind around I can assure you) a cell phone, pagers, digital pocket calendars, etc. Its going to take me some time to learn all the new technology alone.
And then there's all the history I've missed. I'm so out of the loop on current events its almost laughable. Just call me Rip Van Winkle.
I've got a great deal to catch up on with the leaps in lab sciences alone, let alone all the other bits. This first year of my doctorate program is going to be an arduous one.
Things to remember:
1. They not only speak English here, they talk A LOT
2. Its still not polite to stare...really must remember that
3. Animal calls are extemely loud in closed in spaces and seem to scare people, dont do it again
