Interesting. It's a little weird to read about Van and Eric, who are two totally different guys from Luke and Reid, the ones I'm used to reading about. Feels like I have to read slower and pay more attention, somehow. I'll be interested to see where you go with this. :)

I'm of a mixed-mind. I'm always excited to see a new story from you! They're always among my favorites. But I've never been comfortable with VH/ESS RPS. In the past, I've been a fan of VH/JS RPS because they're both young and unattached, so go for it. But, ESS's personal situation and assuredness of who he is makes me uncomfortable with VH/ESS RPS.

So, even with my reservations, I really liked this first chapter. The slightly future time period works. The interactions of everyone are wonderful. I especially enjoyed the description of ESS's audition for ATWT and Van wondering if the aloofness was part of ESS's character prep.
