looking back at it, i guess i didn't update about the rally on monday.
holy fuck was that amazing. i hadn't ever been to a big rally before (yes, i know surprising), but i decided that i strongly believed in this one, so i went. plus, i thought it was only fitting, seeing as how my major deals a lot with immigrants.
ok, so i left my house a little later than i wanted to, so i didn't make it up to library mall where all of the students were congregating (which probably ended up being better)...but, i started walking regardless toward it, hoping that i would meet up with some people on the way to brittingham park. of course, i did. it was random people, sure, but i did anyway....
so we walk to brittingham park, and there are already shit tons of people there. :) all of the presentations then, were in spanish. which is fine, because, well, after being almost done w/ your major, things like that become easy for you to understand. anyway, so we stay there for awhile, and the speakers DEFINITELY pumped the people up...then i see paul, and i'm like "hey!" (sweet i know someone so i don't feel like an idiot anymore)..then i hear all of these people screaming and chanting, and i'm like "HOLY SHIT!! I KNOW THOSE PEOPLE!!" (it was sarah, cesar, carly, etc) so eventually, they come around the crowd, and find us. sweet. then we stay there for awhile more, and eventually head up to the capital. well, we decided that we wanted to be in the front group, so we cut true some people and made it to the front group...
we're walking walking walking, and then we get to a part where we can see back (almost to the capital) and there are still people POURING out of the park:) YES!! so we took lots of pictures (i'm just waiting to get them from carly...cuz i'm an idiot and forgot my camera!) and finally, we make it up by the capital, where there were already random people congregating. we were all up by the steps where the speakers were, which was cool, cuz then we could actually hear stuff.
they talked for awhile, and the crowd was just PUMPED! holy crap. i don't think i've ever experienced that amount of raw energy. it was incredible.
i got the opportunity to talk to laurene all the way back to edgewood...god was that a long walk. she's really, really cool! haha. i invited her to my fam's easter, cuz she said that she wasn't doing anything for it. so i was like, hmmm...come with me? we'll see. it sounded like she just wanted to have a nice, relaxing weekend, which is understandable.
yep.
um...
ash will be home around 5:) we're gonna hang out w/ joe on friday...
phil will be in in a matter of hours (only like 30...which is AWESOME!)
oh, and on a random side note...idk that i'm going to formal anymore cuz apparently tyler isn't rushing anymore?? i'm kinda upset by that, especially considering i've already bought a dress and shoes for it. poop. i'm hoping to talk to him soon to find out. i mean, if he isn't going anymore, you would've thought that he would've told me, right? i would hope so.
i'm gonna go read outside today i think (don't shit your pants, it's an assigned novel for spanish. no i'm not doing it on my own accord). yesterday, i plunked myself on the guys' hammock..and it was WONDERFUL! mmmm...i LOVE nice weather.
