This is my class here in Sweden at Röllingby Gymnasium...NV3! We take natural science so it is very similar to what I had taken at home since I took all three sciences. Right now I am taking Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Svenska 2 (for beginners!), Engelska B, and PE. Most of the rest of my class takes Social Studies, Svenska B, at least one language and other options as well. I am a slight slacker as you can see! But really I can't understand a great deal of the classes I am in now so its okay. Next term I am going to take more classes hopefully and I will get to take Math! YES!
There are 30 of us in this class so we are one of the biggest. I don't know how many people are in my grade...about 150-160 I think. Anyways...we take all our classes together since we are in the same program. That's one thing that is really different, every program has there own time table. It is nice because then you always know the people in your class but difficult if you want to take a class that isn't offered in your timetable...well I guess you just don't take it then! I tried to get into a World History class with SpSp3 that was taught in English but it was highly impossible to make it work. I do however take an Engelska B class that is a NV2 course but I still miss 5 min of class to get to the other one...oh well! I like it that we don't have the bells to change classes though. Since no one starts at the same time teachers can start or end class when ever they want as long as it is in our time block for that class. It is also nice because when you get out of class it is usually just your class in the hallway at that time so it avoids all the crowdedness that we have at home. Another plus that I am enjoying about school is that I don't have to pack a lunch! No one brings lunch to school here and in most schools the lunch is free. Our school started to charge for lunch a couple years ago but it is still redicuously cheap. For hot lunch (like pasta, salad, milk, flat bread, and flijmöjlk (sort of like yougurt)) I pay $1.30 CND! I mean it is great. It saves me time too especailly when I sleep in and have to make a 30 min dash to get to school. I can shower, eat and bike to school in 30 min and only be slightly late...but I don't do it often! Well I try not to!
