Ice Hotel

Well these past 3 days have been quite an adventure for me. Not only because I went to the Ice Hotel but because I planned it myself and did all the booking and over all I would say things went fairly smoothly. I say fairly because of course our train to go to the Ice Hotel was delayed...3 hours! Haha...I am so prone to having my modes of ( Read more... )

Awesome! I'm from Narvik, just across the border to Norway, 2 hours from Kiruna. Never been to the ice hotel even though I live so close, been to Norrbotten and Lappland a lot tho'. I love wintercamping, one of our trips (we slept in tents) were -24*C during the night. I almost forgot about the ice hotel, I have to bring my boyfriend here one time. He's american and hates the cold (an even bigger reason for taking him, hehe).

The Moose safari amused me to no end. We have them walking in our yards here. But I shouldn't speak, I stared at that lama a long time last year in the US, hehe. I'm glad you had a good trip:)

I am just slightly curious as to how you found my live journal? I also thought the moose safari was funny. We have moose running through my yard in Canada as well so lots of the winter things were not a novelty for me. Thanks for you comment! Grace

f0reignexchange's friendslist, I sometimes read my communities' friendslists looking for new people. Add each other? I went to Canada (Vancouver BC) one weekend when I was in the US, it was fun. I love the accent, hehe:)

haha...funny I honestly think that Canadians lack any really good accent because it is not clear like the accent of Americans or British etc. But there are alot of people who say they like it! Mine now sounds sligtly swedish though, even my grandparents say that my english now has an accent! Definetly add me to your friends list...and if you ever find yourself coming to stockholm be sure to let me know and we can meet up.

PS Dad's wondering why they have a rail line that goes that far north. Is there mining or some other industry there?

I am so excited that you got to go to the Ice Hotel. I love the pictures and I am so glad you had fun. Wish I could have been there. Maybe one day I will go. That would be fun, but it is late and I have some reading I must do so that I have time to do my laundry tomorrow. Hope this finds you well.
Hugs
