Great story. I know that we're *suppose* to find Gwen compassionate but I usually find her self-centered and thoughtless. Would you mind if I recommended it?

Thank you! In my opinion, if anyone had the right to sit with Jack, it was Ianto.

Rec? Really?! Oh, go ahead!

"You know, you're not the only one grieving." That's exactly what Ianto should have been allowed to say and to spend a few private minutes with Jack. Gwen stole all that from the others. I think it's the most selfish thing she did.

I know! That part, honestly, made me set my teeth on edge. Sitting up for days, ignoring her real boyfriend, not letting the others have their moments, it's aggravating. And I didn't notice until after I wrote it that I had Gwen mirror Ianto's moves, leaning against his hand, kissing him goodbye.

Sometimes the muses just do their own thing...

Aw, don't cry... *offers tissues and a warm cup of cocoa* Although I will admit, I did cry when I wrote this, channeling the muses just a little too intensely, I think.

I've been waiting to read something exactly like this since the end of Series 1. Yes, it should have been Ianto that sat with Jack, or even them all together. Gwen was the one that had been on the team the shortest and yet she seemed to think that he meant more to her than to the others, when really Jack gave the others back their lives, he gave them everything. Gwen would have been fine without Jack. The others wouldn't have been.

And most of all, I love that Tosh and Owen come to stand by Ianto at the end and help him calm down. Because they really, really would.

Wonderful♥

Mother. Fucking. WORD. That was the whole reason I wrote it.
