this is so sad, despite the fact we know Ianto won't remain dead. I like that the Doctor and Emi stay with him as he dies and Jack! coming to the rescue right before Ianto dies and letting him die in his arms. Very nice mix of sadness and love.

Is it completely and utterly sappy if I say that Ianto was waiting on Jack to say that it was okay for him to die? 'Cause he was. He wanted Jack there to take care of Emiko and the Doctor, and wanted Jack to be the last thing he saw before he died.

Emiko is like Jenny! *laughs* But I came up with her before The Doctor's Daughter. She's a big mix of Tosh, Owen, Jack, Ianto and Gwen tho, since she was raised in Torchwood: She's brilliant like her parents, compassionate like Gwen, can get completely pessimistic and pig-headed like Owen, and has Jack's no-holds barred sexuality.

She probably gives the Doctor fits. The TARDIS, however, adores her.

I get the feeling that Jack likes to hang on the sidelines, watching the bad guy beat and abuse the victim, with Ianto standing next to him mouthing "GO IN YOU BASTARD" because he's waiting for juuuuuuust the right moment to sweep in.
